This combination medicine is mainly used to treat anxiety symptoms occurring along with depression, where quick relief of anxiety is needed while the antidepressant effect builds up over time.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treatment of depression associated with significant anxiety
- Short-term relief of anxiety symptoms such as restlessness, nervousness and tension
- Helping improve sleep disturbed by anxiety or low mood
HOW IT WORKS
- Paroxetine increases the availability of serotonin in the brain, a chemical that helps regulate mood
- Clonazepam acts on brain receptors to produce a calming, muscle-relaxing and anti-anxiety effect
- Together they help control both the emotional and physical symptoms of anxiety-depression
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not for everyday stress or mild worry that does not need medical treatment

How to Use PANAZEP 12.5MG TABLET (Paroxetine 12.5mg + Clonazepam 0.5mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not chew or crush unless advised
- Try to take it at the same time every day, commonly in the morning or evening as directed
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
- Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor, as withdrawal effects can occur
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight
- Keep in its original pack, away from moisture
- Keep out of reach and sight of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

- Are taking or have recently taken MAO inhibitor medicines
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless specifically advised by your doctor

- Other sedatives, sleeping pills, or opioid painkillers
- Blood thinners such as warfarin
- Alcohol, which increases drowsiness and risk of overdose
- Certain antifungal or antibiotic medicines
