This combination medicine is used to treat mixed dyslipidaemia, a condition where both cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood are higher than normal.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high LDL (bad) cholesterol
• Lowering high triglyceride levels
• Raising HDL (good) cholesterol
• Reducing risk of heart disease in people with mixed lipid disorders

HOW IT WORKS

• Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in the liver that makes cholesterol
