Uses and Benefits of ZIVAST F TABLET (Atorvastatin 10mg + Fenofibrate 160mg)

This combination medicine is used to treat mixed dyslipidaemia, a condition where both cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood are higher than normal.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high LDL (bad) cholesterol
• Lowering high triglyceride levels
• Raising HDL (good) cholesterol
• Reducing risk of heart disease in people with mixed lipid disorders

HOW IT WORKS

• Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in the liver that makes cholesterol
• Fenofibrate activates a receptor (PPAR-alpha) that helps break down triglyceride-rich particles
• Together they improve the overall lipid (fat) profile in the blood

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Severe stomach pain that may spread to the back (possible pancreas problem)
• Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face/lips/tongue, difficulty breathing, severe rash
• Unusual bleeding or bruising

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
