This composition is mainly used to treat raised pressure inside the eye, commonly seen in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high intraocular pressure (pressure inside the eye)
• Managing chronic open-angle glaucoma
• Managing ocular hypertension where fluid pressure is above normal
• Used alone or along with other eye pressure-lowering drops

HOW IT WORKS

• Timolol blocks beta receptors in the eye, reducing the production of the fluid (aqueous humour) that raises eye pressure
• Stabilized oxychloro acts as a preservative, keeping the eye drop solution free from microbial contamination while being gentler on the eye surface than some traditional preservatives
• Together they help maintain lower, more stable eye pressure over time

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for treating eye infections
• Not used for general eye redness or allergy
• Not used for dry eyes or itching
• Not a treatment for cataracts or eye injuries
• Not for use in ears, nose, or skin

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Slow heart rate or feeling tired
• Cold hands or feet

• Difficulty breathing or wheezing

How to Use TIMOLET 0.5% EYE DROP (TIMOLOL+STABILIZED OXYCHLORO)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use only in the eye, as prescribed by your doctor
• Wash your hands before applying the drops
• Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid gently, and place the drop inside
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface
• Press gently on the inner corner of the eye for a minute after applying to reduce absorption into the body
• If using other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes between different drops
• Use regularly at the same times each day as advised by your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not apply double drops to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat
• Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Keep out of reach of children
• Discard the bottle after the recommended period of opening, as advised on the label or by your pharmacist

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
