This medicine is used to treat allergic conjunctivitis, a condition where the eyes become itchy, red, watery and swollen due to allergens like dust, pollen or pet dander.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Relief from eye itching due to seasonal or year-round allergies
- Reducing redness and watering of eyes caused by allergic reactions
- Managing allergic conjunctivitis symptoms
HOW IT WORKS
- Olopatadine blocks histamine receptors in the eye, reducing allergic itching and swelling
- It also stabilises mast cells, preventing further release of allergy-causing chemicals
- Benzalkonium chloride acts as a preservative that keeps the eye drop solution free from microbial contamination
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for bacterial or viral eye infections
- Not used for glaucoma or increased eye pressure
- Not a treatment for dry eyes unrelated to allergy

How to Use WINOLAP NASAL SPRAY (OLOPATADINE+BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Wash your hands before using the eye drops
- Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket
- Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by your doctor
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface to prevent contamination
- Close your eyes gently for a minute after applying
- Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 10-15 minutes before reinserting them
- Use only in the eye, do not swallow
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not apply extra drops to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use
- Discard the bottle after the recommended period once opened, usually within 4 weeks, or as directed on the label
- Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to olopatadine, benzalkonium chloride, or any other ingredient in the drops
- Have an active eye infection that has not been diagnosed by a doctor

- Wear contact lenses regularly
- Have any other eye disease or condition such as dry eye or glaucoma

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Other eye drops used at the same time may dilute the effect if not spaced properly
- Contact lens care solutions containing certain preservatives may interact with benzalkonium chloride
- Inform your doctor about all eye medicines, drops, or ointments you are using

Soft contact lenses should be removed before applying the drops and reinserted after 10-15 minutes as benzalkonium chloride can be absorbed by lenses.
