- Cefixime kills bacteria by stopping them from building their protective cell wall

How to Use ZIMNIC AZ 250MG TABLET (CEFIXIME (200MG) + AZITHROMYCIN (250MG))
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in the dose and duration advised
- Can usually be taken with or without food, but taking with food may reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Complete the full course even if you feel better before finishing it
- Try to take doses at the same time each day for consistent effect
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as scheduled
- Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one
- If you miss multiple doses, inform your doctor

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to cefixime, azithromycin, or any other cephalosporin or macrolide antibiotic
- Have had a severe allergic reaction to penicillin-type antibiotics in the past
- Have severe liver disease, unless advised by a doctor
TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU
- Have kidney or liver disease
- Have a history of heart rhythm problems (QT prolongation)
- Have a history of severe diarrhea after taking antibiotics
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- Have myasthenia gravis or other muscle weakness conditions
MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Blood thinners such as warfarin
- Antacids containing aluminium or magnesium (may reduce absorption)

- Digoxin and certain cholesterol-lowering statins
